Lily travelled to Burlington over the weekend for the CDX tap series where she was taught by industry professionals and earned a scholarship. We are so proud of you, Lily!!!

We are so proud of these 4 dancers! They travelled to Toronto over the weekend where they competed against dancers from across Canada at the British Association of Teachers of Dancing Ballet Scholarships for the Junior Ballet Title. Out of the 80 dancers who competed, Mya and Lexie were selected as finalists and Lexie was chosen as a stand out performer, placing her in the top 10. Way to go dancers!!!

She received her BFA in Dance Performance from the accredited Chapman University in Orange, California. Since moving to New York, Alison has worked with choreographers such as Sonya Tayeh, Ryan Heffington, Warren Carlyle, Ashley Wallen, and Marguerite Derricks. Most recently, Alison was one of the associate choreographers and dancers for the Hulu series Up Here. Some of her other tv/film credits include, Imaginary Friends (Paramount), Tick, Tick… BOOM! (Netflix), Blue’s Big City Adventure (Paramount Plus), The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (Amazon), The Macy’s Day Parade and Good Morning America. Some of her commercial and brand credits include Neiman Marcus, Desigual, YSL, Mass Mutual, Gap, Macy’s, and Wella. She also performed on the world tour of Hugh Jackman: The Man, The Music, The Show as well as the Broadway lab of Moulin Rouge and Off-Broadway shows such as Seeing You and Cleopatra. Alison has a passion for teaching and choreographing and has traveled to studios throughout the US for over 10 years. She is thrilled to join the BDC faculty for this year's Summer Intensive.

World Performers Canada invites its team members to train with world leading master teachers, engage with and observe over 6000 dancers world-wide during the Dance World Cup events. Congratulations to EDF dancers on an amazing weekend at Dance Attack! Our studio received the Elite Top Studio Award. This award is given to the studio with the highest average scores of the entire weekend. Along with this recognition, the studio received a photography package from Ashley Ciona Photography. Yesterday some of our soloists participated in a virtual solo heat event. They were able to be critiqued and guided by 2 professional judges to help prepare them for our upcoming competitions. Thank you @feverdancechamps for giving us this great opportunity! Great job dancers!!

Last weekend our dancers travelled to the Breaking Bounds Fall Intensive in Toronto Ontario where they were able to learn from reputable master teachers in the industry. We are so proud of all of our students for the hard work and weekend achievements. Congratulations to Aliyah on her Mini Breaking Bounds Scholarship! This scholarship was handpicked by the Breaking Bounds weekend faculty. In a room of 70 talented mini dancers, your work ethic, passion and talent were awarded this special recognition. We are so proud of you! Congratulations to Celia on her Scholarship and being appointed as a “Breaking Bounds Ambassador”. As an Ambassador, she will demonstrate her leadership by working to support the overall experience of the convention and assist in creating a strong sense of community for everyone involved in the event by promoting inclusion and acceptance. As an ambassador on site, she will also be called upon throughout the classes to stand at the front when learning combinations and a demonstrator at times. She will also be featured in promo videos! Congratulations to Caitlyn on her scholarship from the McDonald Selznick Associates (MSA) Talent Agency. The scholarship is for the MSA Movement Evolution intensive this summer in Los Angeles, California. Caitlyn was handpicked by a scout from MSA to receive this exciting scholarship and recognition. MSA is a “team of Los Angeles and New York City based agents who advocate on behalf of exclusively-signed dancers, singers and actors working in all genres — Film, Television, Theatre, Commercials, Print, Tours, Live Events, and more” (https://msaagency.com/).

We had such an amazing time at @breakingboundsdance convention this weekend in Toronto! Our dancers have been so busy this summer! Lily attended tap classes on Friday and Saturday from numerous professional tap sensations at the 1st Annual Hollywood Tap Fest which was located at the Debbie Allen Dance Academy in Los Angeles. Chloe and Maud Arnold of the Syncopated Ladies and the Chloe and Maud Foundation partnered with Debbie Allen and DADA to form this amazing opportunity for dancers. She also attended panel discussions from industry professionals including actors, talent agents, casting directors and Chloe and Maud, answering questions and offering advice with the theme of kindness, community and authenticity. The All Star Concert included Solo performances from the Facility teaching the classes, the Syncopated Ladies, the residency, other groups and a speech from Miss Debbie Allen. We are so proud of you Lily!!!

Congratulations to our 2023 graduate Abby Fletcher! She is not only an amazing dancer, but also an amazing, thoughtful and hilarious person. She is so kind and supportive of her teammates and she is an excellent role model to our younger dancers. She is respectful, considerate and wears her heart on her sleeve. Her charismatic stage presence is also amazing and in fact serves as her dance alter ego COOL ABBY. As much as we want to keep Cool Abby home and dancing forever, we recognize that she is moving up and onward and is going to accomplish great things. Abby will be studying criminology at Lakehead University Orillia campus in September. We are so proud of you and love you very much. Congratulations and Happy Birthday Cool Abby 😎

Elite Dance Force senior dancer, Celia Higo has been busy building her professional portfolio at the “Face Of Fever” photo shoot at the historic “Pie in the Sky” theatre in East York. Celia was chosen to receive this prestigious opportunity from the judges at Fever International Dance Championships in April. She is also one of the EDF students taking part in the CDX Convention in Hamilton this weekend. We are proud of you, C!

This past season, Courtney Gagnon was awarded an Electro Tap scholarship at the NRG Dance Project convention in Cleveland, Ohio. With this prestigious recognition came a scholarship to attend their National event of the season! Courtney is currently in Phoenix Arizona taking classes with top industry professionals and competing her amazing solo, “Think”. Amazing job, Court! ❤️
