This six-week session is a great introduction to dance. These classes focus on basic dance steps, rhythms and singing in a multi-sensory environment. It is designed for moms, dads, or another adult to bond with their toddlers while dancing and moving along with them!

Attire
3 Year Old Petite Elites will wear a bodysuit of any colour, pink ballet tights, optional skirt or tutu of any colour. Boys may wear a t-shirt and jogging shorts. Dancers will also need pink ballet shoes (girls) or black ballet shoes (boys).
4 Year Old Petite Elites will wear a bodysuit of any colour, pink ballet tights, optional skirt or tutu of any colour. Boys may wear a t-shirt and jogging shorts. Dancers will need pink ballet shoes (girls) or black ballet shoes (boys) and black patent leather tap shoes.

The Petite Elite Program is designed for ages 3 and 4. Each age division has their own separate class time. This is a fun, exciting and structured class that is designed to develop basic dance fundamentals in a multi-sensory learning environment. Petite Elites encourages imagination and expression through movement. All students have the option to perform in the Elite Dance Force Annual Year End Dance Production.

Our Recreational Program offers classes to students between the ages of 5 and up. Classes are offered in ballet, jazz, tap and hip hop. The recreational program is great for any dancer that wants to have fun while being physically active. The program is structured as a light commitment. Dancers will learn fundamental dance technique and have the option to perform in the EDF Year End Annual Dance Production.

Ballet: Girls may wear a solid bodysuit of any colour and pink ballet tights. Girls will wear pink canvas split sole ballet shoes. Hair must be tied back in a bun and any bangs pinned back off the face. Boys will wear fitted black jogging shorts and a white tight fitted t-shirt and black canvas ballet shoes.
Jazz: Bodysuits, and tight shorts of any colour. Hair must be in a bun and any bangs must be pinned off the face. Boys will wear shorts, and a tight fitted tank top. Dancers will wear beige So Danca jazz shoes.
Tap: Bodysuits and either shorts or a tight legging (Yoga capris and sports leggings are only permitted in tap). Girls will wear beige “mary-jane” tap shoes. Boys will wear black split sole tap shoes.
Hip Hop: Comfortable, cool clothing with clean, indoor running shoes. Acceptable items include: tank tops, tee shirts, shorts, joggers, body suits. Hair must be pulled off face into a pony tail with no headbands.

The award winning Part Time competitive program is offered to dancers ages 8-16. This program is designed for students that want a competitive experience, but prefer a part time commitment. Students dance 2-3 times a week, depending on how many classes they want to take and what commitment is right for them. Students attend 2 out of town competitions and perform in the EDF Year End Annual Dance Production in May. Students are able to compete in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop and lyrical. This program also acts as a gateway to students aspiring to dance in the competitive program by working to build a strong technical foundation.

Our competitive program typically begins at age 6 or 7 through to age 18. Classes are offered in several disciplines including: Ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, lyrical, hip hop and contemporary. This program is designed for students with dance experience, and who want to elevate their technical execution and performance to the next level. Full time students travel to 3 out of town competitions, and have the option to travel to dance conventions and workshops during the year. Guest instructors from New York, Los Angeles, and Toronto are also brought in to EDF to teach Master classes, workshops and guest choreography, allowing the studio to stay current and fresh. This helps our students to make connections with top industry professionals should they decide to pursue dance in the future. Attire
Ballet: Dancers will wear a solid coloured bodysuit and pink tights. A “black attire only” rule will apply to all competitive classes from February until the end of May. Split sole canvas ballet shoes can be purchased from Elite Feet Boutique. Boys are to wear black ballet tights and a white tight fitted t-shirt.
Jazz, Lyrical & Tap
Bodysuits, and tight shorts are permitted. Hair must be in a bun and any bangs pinned off the face. Boys will wear fitted shorts and a tight fitted tank top. A “black attire only” rule will apply to all competitive classes from February until the end of May. Dancers will be notified of specific styles and colours of shoes for each discipline.
Hip Hop
Comfortable, cool clothing with clean, indoor running shoes. Acceptable items include: tanks, tees, shorts, joggers and body suits.
